In 1997, after three years of partnership with a master printer, Marc Upson opened his own lab, MUpson, offering fine traditional printing from color negative film.

Its primary goal is to encourage a photographer-printer collaboration to achieve a certain quality not found elsewhere and that only silver-based materials can provide.
